Haycock submitted evidence to the club’s insurers on the true level of flood risk. This resulted in a massive reduction of their quoted premium and withdrawal of demands for costly but ineffective flood resistance measures.
In the event that the club does suffer flooding again, we recommended steps and measures to protect staff and visitors, in the form of a flood management plan.
Flood Management Plan
Commercial and public properties have a particular responsibility for notifying key people, evacuation and dealing with the aftermath of flooding. Staff training on a bespoke “flood management plan” goes a long way to providing this assurance.
