Coughton Court, Warwickshire

Haycock are working with the National Trust to identify ways to reduce the risk to the historic Coughton Court from flooding. There are plans to introduce a traditional “ha ha” that will fit in with the landscape but serve to act as a flood diversion channel when a neighbouring brook bursts its banks. A full flood risk assessment has demonstrated the effects of the flood protection measures.

A full Flood Risk Assessment is often required for new commercial and domestic developments over a certain size (PPS25) or to prove the effectiveness of flood protection schemes. Haycock carry out a detailed site survey that includes surface, groundwater and fluvial risks which are then modelled with the latest state of the art techniques.
