Haycock Associates and Aequa Engineering (Venice) have had a long term working relationship over the past 15 years. Joint projects on the restoration of the River Zero (Venice Lagoon) and other joint projects in the Venice Drainage Catchments have given the two teams considerable hydro-ecological and engineering experience in restoring and enhancing some extremely damaged freshwater environments. In September 2011 Haycock Associates, Aequa Engineering and Divisione Energia will be working together on a range of specific projects across Europe where there is a need to bring engineering, hydrology, hydraulics, architecture and energy generation together. The new group, Aequa Group, will have a combined technical staff of over 70 people. A new role for Haycock Associates will be to support Divisione Energia in the development of versatile hydro-electrical generation stations in challenging ecological, historical and cultural locations.
