Soil, Water and Air Contamination

Soil Contamination

Haycock has advised in a number of legal disputes relating to the introduction of contaminants onto conservation sites and farmland. We advise on legal obligations and rights, the impact on soils and water quality and how to reduce the impact of contaminants.

Knepp Castle Estate

Haycock conducted a Hydrological Impact Report for Knepp Castle Estate to examine the potential impact of a proposed commercial land-fill site on the estate’s hydrology and water quality. The estate is home to a unique rare-breeds and rewilding project.

Hatfield Forest

Haycock support the National Trust in protecting this ancient woodland. We assessed the impact of a Korean Airline crash on the soils and water and have given evidence to the Stansted Airport expansion enquiry.

There are occasions when important habitats, and soil and water resources, are put at threat from contamination. Haycock have a reputation for their rigorous and scientific analysis of incidents combined with in-depth knowledge of the legislation.
