Environmental Modelling

Coughton Flood Modelling

This historic house in Warwickshire suffered serious flooding in July 2007. Haycock used river and floodplain modelling techniques to examine what steps could be taken to prevent a recurrence. We used the LISFLOOD-FP floodplain inundation model to show how the floodwaters moved around and through the Court and gardens.

Lingmell Beck Visualisation

In this iconic valley, Haycock have designed a new crossing which will not only be more aesthetically suitable but will allow the natural river processes and forms to be restored. The new crossing designs have been visualised with advanced cinematic software, enabling the National Trust to share their vision with the local community.

WRRA GIS Processing

This National Trust project utilised a wide range of GIS mapping datasets to investigate the risks posed to and from water resources of National Trust properties. We made extensive use of open source GIS systems to develop a database of statistics, and incorporated these results into a user-friendly web interface for National Trust staff across the country to use.

From hydraulic modelling to examine flood risk, through advanced spatial GIS analysis, to ground-breaking CGI visualisation, Haycock have extensive expertise to analyse and present environmental information. This achieves accurate reliable results and helps others make sense of the data.
