In this award winning project, (2008 Water Renaissance Award) Haycock demonstrated with The National Trust that sensitive development can go ahead whilst increasing flood protection, providing diverse habitats and improving the local environment.
Lingmell Beck, Wasdale
Haycock are working with The National Trust to ensure that Wastwater, voted Britain’s most favourite view, is protected and enhanced with an improved bridge design that allows this active river to naturally adjust.
Leighton Brook
Haycock have designed a scheme for restoring the brook for Cheshire East Council. It lies at the heart of this urban park regeneration project. The aim is to improve the local environment for the community.
Our modelling techniques and computer graphics put Haycock at the forefront in work on flood mapping and river restoration. It allows us to demonstrate clearly the impact of changes in the river channel.
